Berkeley Electric Cooperative's 1st Bright Ideas 5K Run/Walk

On your mark, get set… GO!

On April 30th, we had the privilege to provide our services to our dear friends at Berkeley Electric Cooperative for their 1st Annual Bright Ideas 5K Run/Walk. Berkeley Electric Cooperative is “is the largest, not-for-profit electric cooperative in South Carolina. We serve over 100,000 member-accounts in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties”.

The Bright Ideas Education Grant Program is where the money raised goes to support local teachers fund different projects and supplies in their classrooms. Grants given are up to $1,500 depending upon if it is for a team of teachers or one teacher. This year because of the 5K almost $30,000 were raised. 

It was such a fun event for the whole family and awesome to spend time at one of the Lowcountry’s best kept secret nestled in Berkeley County, Cypress Gardens!
